Understand Customers (Empathy Engine)

A research skill that digs into your ideal customer's pains, desires, inner monologue and exact language before you write a single line of copy.

What it does

Give Claude a one-line description of your product and it dissects your ideal customer across four axes:

  1. Core identity & role — who they really are and what they're trying to achieve
  2. Deepest pains (the nightmare scenario) — the exact words they use, their inner monologue, what they've already tried and why it failed, the emotional fallout
  3. Unspoken desires (the magic-wand outcome) — what the result means emotionally and status-wise beyond the functional benefit, and what feels like an "unfair advantage"
  4. Language & worldview — jargon, tools, influencers, core beliefs you can affirm or challenge

It then brainstorms copy angles: identity triggers, emotional hooks, pattern interrupts and dopamine-driven payoffs.
