Elixir: Monetization & Conversion Design

Diagnoses where your money is actually stuck by separating exposure, inquiries and closed deals, then designs one deliverable you can honor within platform rules and validate at small scale.

Marketing & SEOIntermediate★ 453⑂ 68AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 28, 2026

What it does

  • Diagnose before designing: treats likers, inquirers and payers as three distinct groups. With no inquiry or sales records it writes "unknown" rather than treating follower count as a pipeline.
  • Fixes the "wrong audience showed up" problem: traces what you displayed back to who it attracted (showing finished products attracts "sell it to me" buyers; showing process attracts learners; showing how busy you are attracts job seekers; promising a no-thinking tool attracts people who just want the tool). Then it picks a path: correct course, go with the flow, or refuse.
  • One deliverable you can actually honor: off-the-shelf product, teaching, consulting or custom work — with up-front cost-to-deliver estimation and a warning about cheap offers that require one-on-one handholding.
  • Compliance-first conversion paths: only suggests channels the platform allows (profile link, pinned comment, official store, in-platform DMs); explicitly refuses to provide workarounds, and notes GitHub or a bio link is not automatically compliant.
  • Before building a tool or open-source project: three questions (what mature competitors already cover, your differentiator, why users pick you) with a fallback to a complementary position; plus a four-point naming check (universal recognition, memorability, one line that hits an unexpected pain point, duplicate-name search).
  • Output format: the gap between real demand and your goal, one deliverable to try, conversion channel plus justification, cost estimate, feedback signals to watch, and stop/adjust conditions.

Who it's for

  • Creators and solo operators with traffic but no revenue
  • Anyone stuck on "build influence first or monetize first"
  • Developers about to open-source a small tool who need a differentiation and naming sanity check
  • Freelancers receiving inquiries with no structure to convert them

Examples

  1. "20k followers, zero revenue" → it separates exposure/inquiry/close, declines to claim market validation without sales records, and decides whether you lack trust or lack a conversion path.
  2. "I post finished work and only get 'sell it to me' comments" → if you want learners, it reshapes endings toward method; if you'll serve buyers, it designs an allowed sales channel plus a delivery-cost estimate.
  3. "About to open-source a CLI tool" → runs the three competition questions, steers toward a complementary niche, and vets the name against the four naming criteria before launch.
