Watch the Fire: Video Topic Judgment
A short-video ideation skill that mines your own experiences, locations and trending news to propose 1–3 tailor-made topic directions, then recommends one with reasons.

What it does
- Turns your lived experience, available filming scenes, references you scrolled past, trending news or comments on your last video into personally tailored topic ideas.
- Walks a six-link decision chain: starting point → what the audience cares about most → what you can actually answer with → which type of appeal (entertainment, help, proof of skill, warning) → who this will attract → what evidence delivers on the opening promise.
- Stress-tests ideas from five angles: audience breadth, existing awareness, psychological hook, factual verifiability, low barrier to entry.
- For an existing idea, gives a verdict — shoot it / fix it then shoot it / don't — plus the gap and how to patch it.
- Core filter: "if this topic still works when handed verbatim to someone else, it didn't use you — redo it."
Who it's for
- Short-form creators (TikTok/Reels/Shorts) who stall on "what do I film next?"
- People holding a trend or reference clip but lacking their own angle.
- Creators who want to engineer which audience shows up, not just view counts.
- Solo media operators and marketers tired of recycled script templates.
Example uses
- "My AI account got banned" → judged broad because everyone in the niche risks it, then chained into a follow-up "switch to the alternative tool" guide.
- "I can film at the beach or the airport — what do I say?" → starts from the scene, then reverse-engineers a point of view and personal story that fit it.
- Pitch a one-line idea and ask "is this worth filming?" → get a verdict, the supporting basis, the critical gap, and a rewrite built from your own material.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the skills/tslj-idea folder from the GitHub repo liuhaisi2026212-maker/taishang-laojun into my ~/.claude/skills/tslj-idea/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/liuhaisi2026212-maker/taishang-laojun.git /tmp/tslj && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/tslj/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open a terminal (Terminal on macOS, Git Bash or WSL on Windows).
- Confirm Git is available:
git --version - Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/liuhaisi2026212-maker/taishang-laojun.git /tmp/tslj - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - This skill links to sibling paths in the same repo (
taishang-laojun/references/,tslj-series), so copy the whole skills tree, not just one folder:cp -r /tmp/tslj/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/ - Restart Claude Code and try: "I don't know what to film next — help me pick a topic."
- The source is written in Chinese; add "answer in English" to your prompt if you want English output.
