replica-deploy (Ship Your Clone to Production)

A deploy-gate skill that runs preflight checks, then walks you through production DB, env vars, DNS, Stripe live mode, OAuth, monitoring and mobile store builds.

What it does

  • Preflight gate: runs Playwright tests, feature-parity check for must-haves, the rebrand sweep, store-listing lint and a production build; any failure halts the deploy with a reason.
  • Production separation: a dedicated production database project (never the dev one), backups on, migrations run by the deploy, env vars mirroring .env.example with live keys only in the host.
  • Domain & DNS: a concrete table of A / CNAME / TXT records, plus SPF, DKIM and a DMARC record so confirmation emails don't land in spam; pick one canonical host and redirect the other.
  • Payments & auth: Stripe live mode (recreate products/prices, production webhook + signing secret, one real purchase then refund) and production redirect URIs/authorised origins for every OAuth provider.
  • Monitoring & mobile: error tracking, uptime checks on the home page and core API, alerts, then eas build / eas submit to TestFlight and Play internal testing (or Xcode / Play Console for native).
  • Everything lands in replica/deploy.md: each check with its result, the live URL, the DNS records set, and what to watch in week one.

Safety rule baked in: the user buys the domain, enters the card, types passwords and pastes live keys. Claude only writes exact records, env var names and commands.

  1. Say "ship it" → the skill runs the full preflight suite, pastes results into deploy.md, and blocks the deploy if the rebrand sweep isn't clean or S1/S2 bugs remain.
  2. Say "connect my domain" → you get the exact A/CNAME/TXT values to paste at your registrar, plus SPF/DKIM/DMARC for your email sender.
  3. Before charging real money → step-by-step Stripe live switch, webhook endpoint registration, one real purchase tested and refunded, all logged in the deploy report.

  1. Open a terminal (macOS Terminal, or WSL/Git Bash on Windows).
  2. Clone the skill repo:

  3. Make sure the Claude Code skills folder exists: 
    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
  4. Copy the whole pack — replica-deploy calls scripts from replica-diff, replica-brand and replica-launch:

  5. Verify the install:

  6. Prepare prerequisites: Node.js + npm, Python 3, optionally Playwright, a hosting account (e.g. Vercel), a domain, Stripe and an email provider. For mobile: Apple Developer ($99/yr) and Google Play ($25 once).
  7. Run Claude Code inside your project folder and say "deploy it", "go to production" or "connect my domain" to trigger the skill.
  8. Do the account steps yourself — buying the domain, entering the card, pasting live keys — using the exact values Claude gives you.
