Make Product Photos

An e-commerce creative-director playbook that plans, generates and audits store-ready product photos from a brand's real product images.

Marketing & SEOAdvanced★ 1,277⑂ 220AI score 7/10Last updated: Oct 27, 2026

What it does

  • Builds a shot list from the surface it must fill (store page, ads, email, launch page): hero, alt angle, scale, detail, in use, lifestyle, on-model — agreed before anything is generated.
  • Derives a house-style card from the brand's existing photography so the whole catalogue looks like one shoot.
  • Audits reference photos, excluding text overlays, other sizes/colourways, duplicates and previously AI-generated images.
  • Enforces a spend gate: no generation before the quotes are approved, hero shot runs first and is verified before the rest.
  • Checks every output against the real product (shape, parts, logo, text, colour, finish, scale) and returns a keep / maybe / reject verdict plus a recommended page order.

Who it's for

  • E-commerce marketers who need store photos without a shoot or a photographer.
  • Brand owners re-shooting after a packaging change or a new colourway.
  • Teams already running the GooseWorks image engine and brand workspace.

Examples

  1. "Photos for the new colourway" → identify the newest product by listed_at, reference only real photos of that exact colour, generate hero plus detail shots.
  2. "Our packaging changed — redo the photos" → archive old approved shots with no reason, regenerate the full set from the new packaging images.
  3. "Pre-launch, we only have a render" → keep the render as the honest hero, generate lifestyle only at the render's angle, and label the set "pre-production, render-based".
