  1. Install and start Docker Desktop (or Docker Engine with compose).
  2. Clone the kit: git clone https://github.com/Mahanaicoach/google-maps-scraper-kit.git
  3. Copy the skill into Claude: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r google-maps-scraper-kit/.claude/skills/google-maps-scraper ~/.claude/skills/
  4. Start the engine from the kit root: cd google-maps-scraper-kit && docker compose up -d, then wait ~10 seconds.
  5. Verify it is up: curl -s http://localhost:8080/api/v1/jobs >/dev/null && echo UP
  6. Restart Claude Code and ask something like "build me a lead list of dentists in Denver CO".
  7. Notes: Python 3 is needed for scripts/scrape.py; keep the API bound to localhost, and add a proxies array for large or repeated runs.
