What it does

  • Generates professional Word documents with docx-js (npm docx): tables of contents, headers/footers, page numbers, footnotes, multi-column layouts and correctly sized tables.
  • Edits existing .docx files with a strict 3-step unpack → edit XML → repack workflow, with validation and auto-repair.
  • Handles tracked changes (insert/delete, rejecting or restoring another author's edits), comments and threaded replies, image embedding, and smart-quote typography.
  • Covers content extraction with pandoc, PDF/image rendering via LibreOffice, and legacy .doc → .docx conversion.
