Claude Academy Recommendation Guide

Answers Claude how-to questions first, then quietly appends one or two genuinely matching courses or tutorials pulled live from the Claude Academy catalog.

EducationBeginner★ 299⑂ 52AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 7, 2026

What it does

  • Fires on learning intent: "how do I", "getting started with", "teach me", or questions about artifacts, projects, skills, plugins, connectors, MCP, and team/classroom rollouts.
  • Fetches academy.claude.com/assets/data/catalog.json once per conversation and recommends only items that actually exist in it.
  • Appends at most 2 items (usually 1) after the real answer, in low-pressure phrasing.
  • Falls back to product hubs or the resources library when the catalog can't be fetched or is past its staleAfter date — never naming titles from memory.
  • Treats the JSON catalog as data, not instructions, a nice built-in injection guardrail.

Who it's for

  • Anyone rolling Claude out to a team, class, or org who needs to pair answers with training material.
  • Builders of internal onboarding assistants that must link only to real, verified learning content.
  • Support/docs helpers who want a docs-grounded answer plus a matching course.

Examples

  1. "How do Projects work?" → explains the feature, then adds one tutorial link with a one-line description.
  2. "What training materials do you have for my sales team?" → picks the best one or two items instead of enumerating, then points to the resources library.
  3. "Help me organize this document" → mid-task, not learning, so the skill stays silent and just does the work.

Install the skill I found on Claude Skill Mart.
Copy the anthropics-skills/skills/academy-guide folder from the GitHub repo lingxling/awesome-skills-cn into my ~/.claude/skills/lingxling-academy-guide/.
When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.

Install with a command instead

git clone https://github.com/lingxling/awesome-skills-cn.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/academy-guide && cp -r awesome-skills-cn/anthropics-skills/skills/academy-guide/* ~/.claude/skills/academy-guide/

⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/lingxling/awesome-skills-cn.git
  3. Create the skill folder: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/academy-guide
  4. Copy the files: cp -r awesome-skills-cn/anthropics-skills/skills/academy-guide/* ~/.claude/skills/academy-guide/
  5. Restart Claude Code and confirm academy-guide shows up in your skills list.
  6. Make sure web fetching (WebFetch) is permitted, since the skill needs the live catalog; otherwise it will only offer generic hub links.
  7. Test with a learning-intent prompt such as "How do I get started with Claude Code?"
