Graph Animation (/graph)

Turns a handful of numbers into a minimal line-graph video with a counting-up number, ready for reels.

Image & VideoIntermediate★ 272⑂ 34AI score 9/10Last updated: Nov 1, 2026

What it does

  • Renders an mp4 where a smooth black line draws itself on white (or white on black).
  • A single large number counts up with the tip of the line and lands on the final value.
  • You write one <name>.graph.json spec and build.py renders it in roughly 10 seconds.
  • --snap 3.5 gives you a quick PNG still instead of a full video.
  • Supports prefix/suffix ($, %, kg), decimal places, dark mode, hold time and custom output path.

Who it's for

  • Content creators making reels/shorts that show growth metrics.
  • Marketers and founders needing a quick motion graphic for a pitch deck or report.
  • Developers who want repeatable chart videos without opening After Effects.

Examples

  1. "Make a 0 to 100K followers animation" → nine monthly values plus final: 100000.
  2. Monthly revenue chart with prefix: "$" and decimals: 0 for a dollar counter.
  3. Set dark: true for a black-background, white-line version that fits dark reels.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart.
Copy the skills/graph folder from the GitHub repo artemnovitckii/claude-animation-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/graph/.
When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.

Install with a command instead

git clone https://github.com/artemnovitckii/claude-animation-skills.git /tmp/claude-animation-skills && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/claude-animation-skills/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/ && cp -r /tmp/claude-animation-skills/kit ~/.claude/kit

⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.

  1. Open a terminal and confirm ffmpeg and node are installed (ffmpeg -version, node -v).
  2. Clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/artemnovitckii/claude-animation-skills.git
  3. Create the skills folder: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
  4. Copy the skills: cp -r claude-animation-skills/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/
  5. Copy the shared kit folder to the matching relative location: cp -r claude-animation-skills/kit ~/.claude/kit
  6. Restart Claude Code, then run /graph or ask for an animated growth chart.
  7. On first run, kit/setup.sh fetches dependencies such as GSAP automatically.
