Government Brief & Press Writer (gongwen-brief)
Drafts and reviews Chinese government information reports, work briefings, press releases, press-conference statements and official WeChat posts from a strict source ledger, and judges whether a piece is fit to submit.

What it does
- Covers the publicity-writing family: government information reports (status, best-practice, problem-and-recommendation types), urgent incident reports (first and follow-up), numbered work briefings, press releases, spokesperson statements and Q&A outlines, and official account posts — each with a default structure and word-count range.
- Ledger-first workflow: all input material is split into a
素材台账table across seven categories (elements, measures, data, results, quotes, problems, plans). Every number and direct quote in the draft must trace back to a ledger row; missing facts become【待补】placeholders instead of invented text. - Headline and lede discipline: bans empty slogan phrasing, requires the headline to state actor + action + effect and the first sentence of the lede to be the conclusion itself.
- External-release checks: public-facing drafts go through an 11-item external checklist, photo-authorization prompts, and personal-data de-identification (names, IDs, phone numbers, medical record numbers).
- Automated linting: runs
scripts/secret_check.py,scripts/fact_diff.py,scripts/brief_check.pyandscripts/gongwen_lint.py, with a manual checklist fallback when Python is unavailable. - Review mode: hand it a finished draft and it returns a one-page verdict on submission/adoption prospects plus at most three key-sentence rewrites, using only facts already in the draft.
Who it's for
- Information officers, publicity staff and part-time writers in Chinese party and government bodies.
- Public hospitals, universities, schools and state-owned enterprises that must simultaneously report upward and publish outward.
- Anyone who needs structural guarantees that the model will not fabricate figures, quotes or scene descriptions.
Examples
- "Compress this 8,000-character experience document into a 600-character best-practice report" → builds the ledger, picks one angle, trims without altering any figure.
- "Give me three versions of this event: internal report, press release, WeChat post" → one shared ledger, three audience-specific drafts, with internal problems and unpublished data confined to the internal version.
- "Will this report get picked up by the higher office?" → switches to review mode and returns an issue list, adoption-likelihood assessment, and what material to collect next.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the skills/gongwen-brief folder from the GitHub repo duyunzhoudyz/dyz-gongwen-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/gongwen-brief/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/duyunzhoudyz/dyz-gongwen-skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r dyz-gongwen-skills/skills/gongwen-brief ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open a terminal.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/duyunzhoudyz/dyz-gongwen-skills.git - Create the skills directory:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy just this skill:
cp -r dyz-gongwen-skills/skills/gongwen-brief ~/.claude/skills/ - Confirm that
~/.claude/skills/gongwen-briefcontainsSKILL.mdplus thereferences/andscripts/folders — without them several checks degrade to manual mode. - Install Python 3 if you want the automated checks; verify with
python --version. - Restart Claude Code and trigger it with requests like "draft a government information report" or "compress this material into an 800-character brief".
- Optional: create
