founder-consumer (Simulated Buyer Panel)

Spins up as many as 100 buyer sub-agents modelled on your target customer, shows them the same pitch, and tallies who buys, who passes, why, and what price feels right.

Marketing & SEOIntermediate★ 306⑂ 26AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 7, 2026

What it does

  • Builds founder/customer.json: target customer, 2–4 segments with share and income range, 4–8 buying behaviours, 4–8 real objections.
  • Builds founder/pitch.md: the exact offer a buyer would see — product, price, where to buy, opening deal, in 3–6 plain lines.
  • Uses the bundled panel.py to deal persona cards and write one brief per buyer, then runs sub-agents in waves of 10 (seeded, reproducible).
  • PANEL check re-runs missing answers; PANEL tally produces results.md/results.json with buy rate, segment/behaviour breakdowns, top pass reasons with quotes, what would flip a no, and four Van Westendorp-style price answers.

Who it's for

  • Founders and solo operators stress-testing "would anyone actually buy this?"
  • Marketers and PMs who want objections and price bands before writing a landing page or ads.
  • Anyone preparing real customer interviews who wants sharper hypotheses first.

Example uses

  1. "Run the consumer panel on my $29/mo meal-prep app" → start with --quick (20 buyers), review the top three reasons people pass.
  2. "Who is my customer? Validate demand with 100 buyers" → confirm customer.json, run 10 waves, compare buy rates per segment.
  3. Feed the price answers into /founder-pricing and the objections into /founder-offer and /founder-marketing.

Caveat: simulated buyers lean agreeable, so treat the buy rate as an upper bound and confirm big calls with a waitlist or pre-sale. Never quote panel answers as real testimonials.
