Founder Board

Puts your business idea before a three-member AI board (Offers, Monopoly, Product lenses) that scores it, names the killers and votes fund / fund-if / pass.

What it does

  • Builds founder/idea.md first — what it is, who it's for, product and price, channel, budget and constraints — asking at most three questions if something is missing.
  • Writes a self-contained brief (founder/board/brief.md) because sub-agents can't see your chat.
  • Launches three sub-agents in one message, each applying exactly one published-framework lens and writing a memo: score 1–10, FUND / FUND IF / PASS vote, strengths, top 3 risks that would kill it, questions for the founder, and conditions.
  • Produces a chair's summary (founder/board.md): the vote tally, average score, risks raised by more than one member, a merged condition checklist, and the strongest version of the business the board can see.
  • No invented facts: missing numbers become open questions routed to /founder-competitors, /founder-consumer or /founder-cfo. Disagreements are preserved on purpose.

  • Solo devs and designers deciding whether a side project is a business.
  • Teams rehearsing the hard questions ahead of an investor pitch.

Examples

  1. "Monthly dog-walking subscription at $99 — would this work?" → three memos plus a "2 fund if, 1 pass" verdict and a condition checklist.
  2. "Pressure-test my B2B SaaS idea" → the Monopoly lens flags no durable advantage, the Offers lens flags weak price/guarantee structure.
  3. Run /founder-board with no argument after discussing an idea in chat → it extracts the idea and leaves the full founder/ document set on disk.

  3. Make the skills directory: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
  4. Copy the skills in: cp -r founder-skill/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/ (copying the whole founder pack keeps the follow-up skills available).
  5. Verify that ~/.claude/skills/founder-board/ contains both SKILL.md and lenses.md.
  6. Restart Claude Code, cd into your project folder, then run /founder-board one-sentence description of your idea.
  7. Outputs appear under founder/ in that project (idea.md, board/, board.md).
