Desk Monitoring (briefs, watches, alerts)
A read-only playbook for watching Hyperliquid markets and your account between trades: daily desk briefs, book checks, price/funding watches and alert rules.

What it does
- Proposes a starting set of scheduled routines: daily desk brief, book check every 4-8 hours while positions are open, funding snapshot, catalyst calendar refresh, weekly review — each with owner, schedule and output path.
- Gives a concrete desk brief format (conclusion first, then sourced market, book and research lines with UTC timestamps).
- Tabulates common watch conditions (price level crossed, funding flip, fills/cancels, margin ratio, position without a resting stop, daily loss stop at 80%, exchange unreachable) and who each alert goes to.
- Covers both polling
/infoand WebSocket subscriptions, rate-limit guidance, log hygiene, and heartbeat checks. - Hard safety rules: a watch never places, modifies or cancels orders; stale or failed reads must fire an
unavailablealert instead of silently reporting "not crossed".
Who it's for
- Traders running a Hyperliquid account through the hypergrok agent desk
- Anyone automating monitoring and reporting while keeping execution behind human approval
- Operators who want alerting that can distinguish a quiet market from a dead feed
Examples
- "Give me a desk brief at 07:00 UTC daily" → a dated brief file plus a short post, with sources and check times.
- "Watch ETH and ping me if it crosses 2,900" → a polling script under
/workspace/trading-desk/watch/with a staleness bound and logs. - "Check every 4 hours that every open position has a resting stop" → compares
clearinghouseStatewithfrontendOpenOrdersand raises an incident alert if not.

Install in Claude Code
Let Claude do it — paste this into Claude Code
Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the skills/desk-monitoring folder from the GitHub repo galleonlabs/hypergrok-trading-desk into my ~/.claude/skills/desk-monitoring/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/galleonlabs/hypergrok-trading-desk.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r hypergrok-trading-desk/skills/desk-monitoring ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Install Claude Code and open a terminal.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/galleonlabs/hypergrok-trading-desk.git - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skill:
cp -r hypergrok-trading-desk/skills/desk-monitoring ~/.claude/skills/ - Also copy companion skills it references (e.g.
hyperliquid-websocketand the trade lifecycle skill) so cross-references resolve. - Create the working directory
/workspace/trading-desk/watch/for logs and watch scripts. - Restart Claude Code and try: "write today's desk brief" or "watch BTC funding and alert me if it flips sign".
- Run read-only or on testnet first; never grant order-placing credentials to a watch process.
