dbs-ai-check (AI Writing Fingerprint Detector)
Scans your copy for 22 telltale AI-writing patterns and returns a diagnostic report with quoted passages and severity ratings — diagnosis only, no silent rewrites.

What it does
- Audits the text you paste against 22 "AI fingerprints": uniform sentence rhythm, connective-word overuse, repeated "it's not X, it's Y" flips, concept-naming rituals, "you deserve it" closing blessings, suspiciously precise emotional details, and more.
- Reports findings in reading order, quoting each offending passage, explaining the problem in plain language, then tagging it with a feature number and severity (🔴 strong / ⚠️ medium / 💡 weak).
- Defaults to diagnosis only. It explicitly refuses to "de-AI" your text on request; once you say "I want to revise," it walks the hits from most to least severe, asking one question per item about what you were actually trying to achieve before suggesting a direction.
- Includes a false-positive table (rhetoric real writers use too) and genre calibration for short-video scripts, long-form posts, tweets, and academic prose.
Who it's for
- Bloggers, newsletter writers and social media creators whose drafts "feel like a machine wrote them"
- Marketers and editors polishing AI first drafts before publishing
- Editors and writing coaches who need concrete, line-level feedback
- Note: the heuristics were built around Chinese prose conventions.
Examples
- Paste a blog draft and ask "check this for AI tells" → you get a report of, say, 7 hits with quotes and severity.
- Reply "I want to revise" → it asks, one at a time, things like "which of these counterarguments has someone actually raised with you?" and helps you find your own phrasing.
- Feed it a short-video script and it skips the "punchline every paragraph" flag (a genre requirement) while scrutinizing the hook-pain-promise opener and connector overuse.
