court — Put an Idea on Trial

Runs your idea through a mock trial with a prosecutor, a defense, 12 independent juror sub-agents and a judge, so you get honest pushback instead of agreement.

What it does

  • Distills your idea, plan, pitch or claim into a neutral, self-contained case file (.court/case.md).
  • A prosecutor Claude argues it fails; a defense Claude argues it works; both then rebut each other.
  • 12 juror sub-agents (6 with --quick, 3–12 via --jury N) vote independently, never seeing one another.
  • A judge Claude writes the verdict plus the conditions for acquittal — exactly what would flip the result.
  • Claude acts only as court clerk: it never argues, votes, re-counts or softens the verdict.

Who it's for

  • Anyone frustrated that Claude agrees with everything they say.
  • Founders, PMs and strategists who want an idea stress-tested before it goes public.
  • People facing a big decision who want the counter-arguments gathered systematically.

Examples

  1. /court Quit my job to sell candles on Etsy full time → full 12-juror trial, verdict, and what would change it.
  2. /court --quick Raise our SaaS price from $29 to $79 per month → fast 6-juror run.
  3. Just type court after discussing a launch plan → it picks up the most recent idea from the conversation as the case.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart.
Copy the skills/court folder from the GitHub repo alexyc9381/court-skill into my ~/.claude/skills/court/.
When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.

Install with a command instead

git clone https://github.com/alexyc9381/court-skill.git /tmp/court-skill && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/court-skill/skills/court ~/.claude/skills/

⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.

  1. Open a terminal and clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/alexyc9381/court-skill.git
  2. Create the skills folder if needed: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
  3. Copy the skill in: cp -r court-skill/skills/court ~/.claude/skills/
  4. Confirm Python 3 is available with python3 --version (the bundled court.py needs it).
  5. Start Claude Code in your project folder and run /court <your idea>.
  6. The trial writes many files under .court/, so press Shift+Tab to enable accept-edits mode and avoid approving each one.
  7. To keep token use down, add --quick (6 jurors) or --jury 3; use --seed S for reproducible juries.
