console-anywhere
Builds a PS2Recomp port for Windows, macOS, Linux, Steam Deck, Android and PS Vita, then packages it into a clean player folder that contains no game data.

What it does
Covers the whole path from a working PS2Recomp port (ps2EntryRunner) to a device you can play on:
- doctor — checks this machine's toolchain for a target and prints the exact install command for anything missing
- plan — prints per-target build steps sourced from PS2Recomp's README,
android/README.mdand the vita scripts - package — creates a player folder in
console/dist/(runner, libraries, emptygame/,PLAYERS.md, launch script,.recomp.json) - guard — refuses any folder containing disc images, PS2 ELFs, IRX modules,
SYSTEM.CNFor recompiled runner sources - recomp-json — writes the optional project description file
Targets: windows, macos, linux, steamdeck, android, vita; web is plan/doctor only.
Who it's for
- Developers building a PS2Recomp port from a disc they own
- Anyone who wants that port running on a Steam Deck, Android TV box or homebrew Vita
- Teams that need a hard check that no game data slips into a release folder
Examples
- "Put it on my Steam Deck" → doctor checks the Linux toolchain → plan prints the steps → package builds
console/dist/mygame-linux - "Build it for Android" → APK steps,
adb pushinto the app's files directory, controller pairing notes - "Is it safe to zip this?" →
guard console/dist/mygame-linuxscans for disc images, ELFs and IRX modules before you share anything

Read the instructions in this file and follow them to help me: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Jakeschincariol/console-skill/HEAD/console-anywhere/SKILL.md What I want: (describe your task here)
If Claude can't open the link, open it yourself and paste the contents instead.
↓ If it works for you, download the ZIP below and install it. Then it runs on its own — no pasting each time.
Install in the Claude app (no terminal)
- Download the ZIP with the button below.
- In Claude, open Settings → Capabilities and turn on 'Code execution and file creation'. (one time)
- Go to Customize → Skills → + → 'Upload a skill' and upload the ZIP.
Install in Claude Code
Let Claude do it — paste this into Claude Code
Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the console-anywhere folder from the GitHub repo Jakeschincariol/console-skill into my ~/.claude/skills/console-anywhere/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/console-skill.git /tmp/console-skill && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/console-skill/console-anywhere ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open a terminal.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/console-skill.git - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skill:
cp -r console-skill/console-anywhere ~/.claude/skills/ - Confirm Python 3 is available with
python3 --version(targets.py needs it). - Restart Claude Code and ask something like "package this port for my Steam Deck".
- Always run
doctorfirst, install whatever it marks MISSING, then follow plan → build → package → guard.
