Commit Rules

A shared rule set defining commit message style and hard technical constraints for any skill that creates git commits.

What it does

  • Tells Claude to inspect git log -n 10 --oneline and match the repository's existing commit style.
  • Enforces message conventions: imperative mood, present tense, subject ≤100 characters, no commit body — everything in one line.
  • Locks in technical constraints: use git commit -m "..." directly (no heredoc, since the sandbox blocks temp files), never bypass commit signing (--no-gpg-sign), and ask the user when signing fails.
  • Forbids leaking local-only .turbo/ details (filenames, step numbers, headings) into commit messages.
