cinetic — Cinematic Motion Design from Code

A directing skill that builds launch films, product videos and logo stings in Remotion or HTML/GSAP, from concept and beat-locked timeline to code-made sound, render and measured critique.

Image & VideoAdvanced★ 921⑂ 54AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 18, 2026

What it does

  • End-to-end pipeline: BRIEF.md → concept/treatment → brand and style frames → beat-locked timeline.ts → act-by-act build → sound → render and verification, with a required output file and a real check gate at every step.
  • Per-format numbers: a table of length, fps, BPM grid, story beats, on-screen word budgets and deliverables for launch films, product/feature videos, loops, logo stings and UI walkthroughs.
  • Hard bans against "AI-looking" work: no serif/italic type, no purple/neon/orange, no glassmorphism, no emoji, particles or lens flares, no full sentences dumped at once — enforced by lint-film.mjs.
  • Soundtrack generated from code: sync points are extracted from the picture code (export-cues.ts), then the mix is measured for LUFS, true peak and LRA.
  • Render-then-measure critique loop: contact sheets, layout audits and sound sheets drive fixes based on the actual encoded output, not Studio playback.

Who it's for

  • Developers and motion designers who code product videos with Remotion (React) or HTML/GSAP
  • Startup teams needing landing-page loops, feature clips and logo intros
  • Anyone delegating video work to an AI but refusing a generic, generated look

Examples

  1. "Make a 30s launch film for our new feature" → three concept directions → beat sheet → 1920×1080 60fps master plus 9:16 and 1:1 re-layouts and a poster.
  2. "We need a 6s hero loop for the landing page" → bar-aligned seamless loop exported as MP4, WebM and GIF.
  3. "5s logo sting with alpha" → 6–10 mark directions, misread test, then ProRes 4444 alpha renders with one tuned hit.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart.
Copy the skills/cinetic folder from the GitHub repo Leonxlnx/cinetic into my ~/.claude/skills/cinetic/.
When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.

Install with a command instead

git clone https://github.com/Leonxlnx/cinetic.git /tmp/cinetic && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/cinetic/skills/cinetic ~/.claude/skills/cinetic

⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.

  1. Install prerequisites: Node 22+, ffmpeg 6+ with libx264, and Python 3.11+.
  2. Install Python packages: pip install numpy scipy soundfile pyloudnorm opencv-python librosa pillow fonttools brotli uharfbuzz.
  3. Clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/Leonxlnx/cinetic.git /tmp/cinetic.
  4. Copy the skill into place: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/cinetic/skills/cinetic ~/.claude/skills/cinetic.
  5. Restart Claude Code and test with a prompt like "make a launch video for X".
  6. Scaffold your first film: run bash scripts/new-film.sh films/<name> --fps 60 --size 1920x1080, then npm install and let Remotion download Chromium Headless Shell.
  7. (Optional) Install earshot 0.3+ in its own virtualenv for the full sound kit and audio critique.
