Check PR
Inspects a GitHub PR, GitLab MR, or Perforce changelist for review comments, failing checks and description gaps, then helps fix them.

What it does
- Detects the platform (GitHub, GitLab, Perforce) and finds the PR/MR/CL for the current branch when no number is given.
- Pulls title, body, inline review comments, general comments and CI status via
gh,glab, orp4. - Polls every 30 seconds until all status checks reach a terminal state before analysing.
- Buckets every finding into Actionable / Informational / Already addressed and reports a summary table.
- On request, applies fixes and commits/pushes (or re-shelves in Perforce), then resolves review threads via GraphQL/REST.
- For Greptile users, enforces that a clean review exists for the exact current head SHA and blocks on stale results.
Who it's for
- Developers who manually walk a pre-merge checklist on every change.
- Teams drowning in bot review comments who keep missing actionable items.
- Organisations juggling GitHub, GitLab and Perforce at the same time.
Example uses
- "Check my PR" → finds the branch's PR and tables up failing CI, unresolved comments and TODO placeholders in the body.
- "Address the feedback on PR 1234" → filters actionable comments, edits the code, pushes, and resolves those threads.
- "Is this ready to submit?" → waits for CI, verifies review freshness against the current head commit, and lists remaining blockers.

Install in Claude Code
Let Claude do it — paste this into Claude Code
Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the .agents/skills/check-pr folder from the GitHub repo paperclipai/paperclip into my ~/.claude/skills/check-pr/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip.git /tmp/paperclip && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/paperclip/.agents/skills/check-pr ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Prerequisites: install
gitplus the CLI you use and authenticate —gh auth login(GitHub),glab auth login(GitLab), orp4 login(Perforce). Also installjqfor JSON parsing. - Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip.git /tmp/paperclip - Create the skills directory:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skill:
cp -r /tmp/paperclip/.agents/skills/check-pr ~/.claude/skills/ - Restart Claude Code and ask something like "check the PR for this branch" to trigger it.
- If your team doesn't use Greptile, delete or retarget step 4 of
SKILL.mdso the review-freshness gate matches your own review bot.
