US Economic Calendar
Reports scheduled US economic releases (CPI, NFP, FOMC, GDP, PCE, ISM) in ET with impact and actual/consensus/previous, plus optional ForexFactory cross-check.
Data & AnalyticsIntermediate★ 397⑂ 87AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 30, 2026
What it does
- Pulls Nasdaq's public economic-events feed and reports releases per weekday (weekends are skipped or rolled to Monday).
- Corrects the feed's known day offset and converts times to ET by calibrating against fixed-time releases (claims/NFP/CPI 8:30, ISM/JOLTS/Michigan 10:00).
- Returns impact level plus actual/consensus/previous, with
verifiedandtimes_verifiedflags so unreliable days are visible instead of silently wrong. - With
--forexfactory, cross-checks both sources: confirmed matches, time mismatches, releases missing in Nasdaq, and Nasdaq-only items. - FOMC decision days come from a hardcoded schedule and are always included.
Who it's for
- Traders who size or hedge around macro event risk.
- 0DTE / short-dated options traders where exact release times matter.
- Analysts tracking US data release schedules across time zones.
Examples
- "What data comes out today?" →
uv run python scripts/events.py - "High-impact events for this week, cross-checked" →
--days 5 --impact high --forexfactory - "Preview next week's schedule" →
--date 2026-11-02 --days 5 --impact high

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the .claude/skills/calendar folder from the GitHub repo staskh/trading_skills into my ~/.claude/skills/calendar/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/staskh/trading_skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r trading_skills/.claude/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/staskh/trading_skills.git - Enter the folder:
cd trading_skills - Create the skills directory:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skills:
cp -r .claude/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/(keep the sharedtrading-skillspackage, which this skill depends on) - Install dependencies:
pip install requests, or runuv syncin the repo root. - If you don't have
uv, replaceuv run pythonwithpythonin every command. - Restart Claude Code and ask "What's on the US economic calendar today?" to verify it loads.
