Brand Intake (Motion Design System Setup)
A short two-batch interview plus 3–5 reference frames that produces brand.md, MOTION.md and a read-first rule in CLAUDE.md so every animation stays on-brand.

What it does
- Runs a short interview in two batches (4 questions, then 3): brand and offer, audience, what you promote with the real link, the feeling in the first second, hex colours, fonts, logo files, and the one thing your motion must never do.
- Reads every reference frame in an
examplesfolder and writes MOTION.md: every colour with its purpose, fonts and type sizes, timing (in, hold, out), frame rate and easing, texture and finish, five hard "never" rules, and one shot-by-shot example done right. - Writes a sub-300-word brand.md in the project root.
- Appends a verbatim rule block to CLAUDE.md: read MOTION.md in full before designing, then self-check your frames against it before showing anything.
- Writes
ASK MEinstead of guessing when a frame doesn't reveal a value; typed hex codes always beat sampled ones.
Who it's for
- Creators making motion graphics or short-form video with AI who are tired of inconsistent colour and type.
- Solo founders and freelancers who want their brand's motion rules written down once.
- Anyone about to use the sibling skills
launch-video,vox-explainer,animated-chartormilestone-reveal.
Examples
- Say "set up my brand" — Claude opens immediately with the Batch 1 questions, then Batch 2, then writes both files.
- Drop five motion screenshots from Dribbble or your own work into
examples; the skill derives hex codes, easing and timing rules into MOTION.md. - Optional proof step: run "Make a dynamic 15-second motion graphics video… go all out" in an empty folder and in this project, then compare — only one should look like you.

Install the skill I found on Claude Skill Mart. Copy the skills/brand-intake folder from the GitHub repo charlie947/motion-graphics-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/brand-intake/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/charlie947/motion-graphics-skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r motion-graphics-skills/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open your terminal.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/charlie947/motion-graphics-skills.git - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skills in:
cp -r motion-graphics-skills/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/ - Start Claude Code inside the project folder where your brand files should live.
- Put 3–5 reference frames in a folder named
examplesand have your logo files (SVG or PNG) ready. - Type "brand intake" in chat and answer the questions — brand.md, MOTION.md and the CLAUDE.md rule will be created for you.
