brag — Auto Launch Video for Your Project

Reads your current project's code and turns it into a polished 15–25 second launch video, poster frame, and share copy.

Image & VideoIntermediate★ 13,270⑂ 928AI score 9/10Last updated: Oct 1, 2026

What it does

  • Inspects the current project directory (code, UI, copy) to understand what you built — no live URL or screenshots required.
  • Commits to a project-specific creative angle and writes brag-plan.md with a beat-by-beat storyboard: scenes, on-screen text, timing, transitions, SFX cues.
  • Hands a focused composition brief to Hyperframes, then enforces one hard gate: npx hyperframes check must pass with zero errors before rendering.
  • Delivers brag.mp4, a best-frame poster brag.jpg baked in as frame 0, and share-copy.txt for posting.
  • Seven tone presets (default, polished, yc-parody, chaotic, deadpan, cinematic, app-store) plus freeform direction, with flags for --format, --duration, --no-music, --no-sfx, and opt-in --voice narration via Kokoro.
  • Hard creative laws: 15–25s runtime, text must hold long enough to read, at least one scene shows real product UI, generic SaaS phrasing banned.

Who it's for

  • Developers who want to show off a side project or new feature on social media or Product Hunt.
  • Indie hackers and solo founders with no time for a video editor.
  • Small teams that need quick, repeatable demo clips.
  • Prerequisite: a Node environment plus the Hyperframes domain skills and CLI (npx hyperframes).

Example uses

  1. /brag — default-tone landscape clip for the web app you're currently in.
  2. /brag --tone yc-parody --format vertical — vertical cut for Reels/Shorts with deadpan fake-startup energy.
  3. /brag this. Make it feel like a 2016 Series A launch --voice — freeform tone direction with narration enabled.

Install the skill I found on Claude Skill Mart.
Copy the skills/brag folder from the GitHub repo latent-spaces/brag into my ~/.claude/skills/brag/.
When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.

Install with a command instead

git clone https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r brag/skills/brag ~/.claude/skills/

⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.

  1. Open a terminal and change into the folder where you keep repos.
  2. Clone the repo: git clone https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag.git
  3. Create the skills folder if needed: mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
  4. Copy the skill in: cp -r brag/skills/brag ~/.claude/skills/ — confirm the references/, assets/, and scripts/ subfolders came along.
  5. Make sure Node.js is installed and Hyperframes is reachable: run npx hyperframes --help.
  6. Start Claude Code from inside the project you want a video for.
  7. Run /brag, or add options like /brag --tone cinematic --format square. Output lands in brag-output/ (or a timestamped variant) as brag.mp4, brag.jpg, and share-copy.txt.
