Apply Turbo Handoffs

Audits the self-improve lesson handoffs in `.turbo/handoff/`, applies the ones you approve, then cleans up, commits, and updates the installed Turbo skills.

What it does

  • Reads every file in .turbo/handoff/, separating lesson proposals from handoffs that merely carry in-flight session work (those are left untouched and named).
  • Audits each lesson on five axes — gap still real, diagnosis correct, remedy fits conventions, project-specific details stripped, benefit vs. firing frequency — and returns a verdict of apply, apply adjusted, or drop with reasoning.
  • After your approval, runs /create-skill per approved lesson, deletes consumed handoffs (or trims only the resolved lessons), then chains /stage-commit-push and /update-turbo.
  • Tracks all six steps with TaskCreate/TaskList and exits cleanly when there is nothing to commit.

  • Maintainers of the turbo repo (or a fork) who regularly merge lessons collected from other projects.
  • Anyone who prefers generalizing an existing rule over piling on special cases.
  • Teams studying human-in-the-loop automation patterns: audit → approve → apply → commit.

Examples

  1. "read the handoff files and let me know what you think" → get per-lesson verdicts, tweak a couple, then approve.
  2. "process the turbo handoffs" → approved lessons land in the skills, held-back ones stay in their file, changes are committed and pushed.
  3. Empty queue → it reports "No lesson handoffs in .turbo/handoff/" and marks the remaining steps complete.
