Apple-style Launch Film
Builds an Apple-keynote-style Mac product launch video entirely in code — no screen recording, no After Effects.

What it does
- Draws the entire Mac interface in code: a thin menu bar, the black notch at top centre, widgets that grow out of the notch one scene at a time, and a full-screen gradient wallpaper per scene.
- Produces one self-contained HTML file exposing
window.seek(seconds)so any exact frame can be rendered, then exports to MP4 via HyperFrames. - Starts by asking for five inputs — product name and one-liner, a facts list, 6–8 scenes with short captions, an optional reference folder, and size/length. Nothing outside the facts list is allowed on screen.
- Encodes hard-won craft rules: spring the notch width/height instead of tweening, solve motion from the film start, keep the menu bar to ~5 items, compare each scene against reference frames, add a reduced-motion fallback.
Who it's for
- Marketers and founders who want a launch video with Apple keynote polish
- Front-end developers who'd rather control motion in code than in an NLE
- Designers who need a version-controllable, endlessly tweakable video source
Example uses
- "Make an Apple-style launch video for my voice-notes app" → a 7-scene film opening with a handwritten "hello" as the notch expands
- Drop frames of a real Mac launch film into
ref/and ask for a look match → scene-by-scene side-by-side comparison and corrections - Pass the finished MP4 to
reel-exportfor a vertical short-form cut

Read the instructions in this file and follow them to help me: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/charlie947/motion-graphics-skills/HEAD/skills/apple-launch-film/SKILL.md What I want: (describe your task here)
If Claude can't open the link, open it yourself and paste the contents instead.
↓ If it works for you, download the ZIP below and install it. Then it runs on its own — no pasting each time.
Install in the Claude app (no terminal)
- Download the ZIP with the button below.
- In Claude, open Settings → Capabilities and turn on 'Code execution and file creation'. (one time)
- Go to Customize → Skills → + → 'Upload a skill' and upload the ZIP.
Install in Claude Code
Let Claude do it — paste this into Claude Code
Install the skill I found on Claude Skill Mart. Copy the skills/apple-launch-film folder from the GitHub repo charlie947/motion-graphics-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/apple-launch-film/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/charlie947/motion-graphics-skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r motion-graphics-skills/skills/apple-launch-film ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open a terminal.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/charlie947/motion-graphics-skills.git - Copy the skill into your Claude skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r motion-graphics-skills/skills/apple-launch-film ~/.claude/skills/ - Install the companion free skill:
npx skills add emilkowalski/skills --skill apple-design - Install the exporter:
npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes - Restart Claude Code and ask for something like "make an Apple-style launch video" to trigger the skill.
- For on-brand output, prepare a
brand.md(hex colours, font, logo path) in your project first.
