Analyzing Products
Normalizes an e-commerce URL or a single product photo into generation-ready facts and curated reference images.
Image & VideoIntermediate★ 292⑂ 36AI score 8/10Last updated: Oct 21, 2026
What it does
- URL mode: from any product page (Amazon, Shopify, AliExpress), produces a tight two-paragraph description and downloads up to 5 filtered product images (no faces, no wrong variants, no lifestyle noise).
- Photo mode: from a bare photo, derives the category, how the product is used, its moving/opening parts, and the key visual details to preserve.
- Returns results as an input-stage building block that other generation skills can consume directly.
- Sticks to objective facts — it deliberately does not judge market positioning.
Who it's for
- E-commerce marketers and performance creatives producing AI product ads or short videos.
- Designers tired of manually researching product pages and scraping clean shots.
- Developers wiring up product-driven creative generation pipelines.
Example uses
- Paste an Amazon listing URL → get a description plus 5 clean product shots ready to feed an image prompt.
- Only a supplier photo available → the skill maps how the lid opens and which parts move, so a product-in-use video can be generated accurately.
- Extraction fails or images all get filtered → the skill falls back to photo mode or hands off the description alone instead of guessing.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the skills/analyzing-products folder from the GitHub repo SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/analyzing-products/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r superCMO-skills/skills/analyzing-products ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open your terminal.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills.git - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skill:
cp -r superCMO-skills/skills/analyzing-products ~/.claude/skills/ - Verify that
references/url-extract.mdandreferences/photo-analysis.mdare present inside the copied folder. - For URL mode, make sure a web extraction / image analysis tool (MCP server or built-in web tooling) is enabled in your Claude Code setup.
- Restart Claude Code and ask something like "Analyze this product URL into reference inputs for image generation."
