Ad Format Adapter (adapting-formats)
Takes an existing image ad and rebuilds it at every ratio you need — recomposed, not cropped.

What it does
- Analyses your existing ad (product, every drawn string, background, palette, layout) and regenerates it for each requested ratio instead of cropping or stretching.
- Extends the background into the new space, keeps negative space around the product, and holds headlines/CTAs out of the platform's safe-zone furniture.
- Shows a plan — shapes to be made, what moves, what won't fit — and waits for approval before spending anything; skips the ratio you already supplied.
- Picks one model for the whole set (text-heavy vs. photoreal) and generates all shapes in a single batched call, with the original passed in as a reference image.
Who it's for
- Performance marketers, growth teams, creative ops.
- Anyone shipping the same ad to Meta, YouTube, TikTok and display at different aspect ratios.
- Small teams without a designer on hand for size variants.
Examples
- "Give me this 1:1 banner in the full Meta family" → produces 4:5 and 9:16, drops the 1:1 you already have.
- "Turn the square ad into a 9:16 story" → extends the background vertically, moves the CTA out of the covered bottom band, and flags when the copy is too dense to stay readable rather than shrinking the type.
- "Vertical ad into 16:9 for YouTube" → warns that this inverts the frame and is closer to a new ad, then waits for your go-ahead.

Install the skill I found on AI Skill Mart. Copy the skills/adapting-formats folder from the GitHub repo SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills into my ~/.claude/skills/adapting-formats/. When it's done, tell me in one line what this skill can do.
Install with a command instead
git clone https://github.com/SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills.git && mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r superCMO-skills/skills/adapting-formats ~/.claude/skills/⚠ This is a third-party skill. Check the source repository before installing.
- Open your terminal.
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/SupercmoHQ/superCMO-skills.git - Create the skills folder:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills - Copy the skill:
cp -r superCMO-skills/skills/adapting-formats ~/.claude/skills/ - Confirm
references/recomposing.mdandreferences/ratios-and-safe-zones.mdcame along with it. - Connect an MCP server that exposes
image_generate,list_image_modelsandimage_analysis, and set your provider API key (otherwise you'll hitno_provider_configured). - Restart Claude Code, attach the original ad image, and ask something like "resize this ad for 4:5 and 9:16".
